Description
Royal Air Force officer's ranking braid is an item of blue, yellow and black woven braid that is typically worn on the sleeve of an RAF officer's jacket and is used to designate his or her rank. In this instance, one thick Black length with 5 Yellow thin stripes running through it and four blue stripes.
According to RAF dress regulations, the rank braid must be positioned so that the centre of the braid is 9.5cm or 3 3/4" from the edge of the sleeve cuff.
